a 3ds can run decrypted games?
No. It'll only run encrypted and signed games.

EDIT: (BTW, people like neimod who have direct access to RAM can pull the decrypted versions of games from there, without even needing the common key. If the 3DS could run decrypted games, we would know, and methods for doing so would have been made public long ago).

For what it's worth, this is why we need exploits (both for the 3DS and for other consoles). Basically, an exploit is a method of running code that is not encrypted and signed. Without an exploit, only encrypted, signed code can be run (i.e. official code from Nintendo, or the other manufacturers in other cases).

I always wondered, at some point the exclusive games early 3DS adapters were offered received an update.
The games were running absolutely as they should be which made me think wether they were trying to cover a possible hacking method.

I'm no expert in computer hacking but I'm kinda throwing everything on the wall and see what sticks in here.
It just surprises me how long it took with not much advancement in the 3DS scene.

you can decrypt, you can't encrypt.
get your facts straight.
Nope, decrypting would require the 3DS common key, which is not (publicly) known at this point in time. You can neither decrypt nor encrypt.

Perhaps you should "get your facts straight" ;) (I wouldn't have said this bit, but I just think it's really hypocritical for you to have said it when the other person was right and you are wrong)
sorry, i get mixed up sometimes and forget what the common key is for.

BTW, it's okay to seem like an a-hole every once in a while.

My friends are working on hacking the 3DS, but its allot more difficult than the PS3, Xbox360 and Wii idunno why?!
They never done DS/i hacking maybe thats the reason?
I believe it being a closed system (no ports whatsoever nor ways to interact with the system other than directly with Nintendo) plays the majority of the problem.
I'm even wondering what lead they're following!

I still don't get why people are clinging to hope for a flashcard that plays 3DS roms.
They have not even hacked DSi mode yet...

Cyclo iEvo and SudokuHax?
Granted these hacks aren't exactly flourishing, but they were successful attempts in their respective timeframes.

Demos from eshop can play cause they're signed by nintendo. Anything on eshop...
Never mind, no need for more detail.
A legit game or demo made for a specific system will of course work on that system.(the last couple questions, just wow.) O.o
