@CosmoCortney - It seems I found the address for the 3-Mushroom in Trials, but I cannot make it infinite. I poke it and it looks like its only visual, cause I cannot make even one Mushroom static.

So I am starting to understand how the Load Float and Store Float works. I was able to make a moon jump test code without a pointer, but when I applied the pointer to the code, it does not work at all. I checked with the Watch List and even used the RAM Write value and the pointer works fine (the exception being the world map). This is for Super Mario 3D World (NTSC-U).

does anybody know the memory range to set in TCPGecko.NET for hacking MK 8 v4.1 PAL/Disk?
From what I remember I have set it from 40000000 to 49000000.

I personally would recommend you find your own cheat codes rather than trying to make that cheat code work, plus you would not be able to use the homebrew launcher, which means no code handler (no way to set code permanently).

Awesome! Now you should try to find a pointer. Since the value is not always consistent between levels

(However, seeing how you picked that particular range, I am assuming that you already saw this video.)

This is something you are going to have to figure out on your own. No one is going to want to help anyone make FTW (For the win) code, regardless of innocent intentions and whether or not it can be used only on offline. (Remember, an offline code could work in time trials)

I tried to create an item hack (offline) but found out that the MK8 item ids in the first page by @cosmocourtney doesn't work.

Here's what I did so far -

Item hack Offline (Anoymous_001)
Sets memory range to start: 40000000 end : 49000000
Gets a coin
Searches 0000000F (which is the coin item id)
Uses coin
Gets Single green shell
Refines 00000001 (which is the single green shell item id)
uses green shell
gets single mushroom
Refines 00000003 (which is the single mushroom item id)
finds 4 refined addresses at last
Ctrl + A to select all addresses
Right click the selected addresses
clicks Poke
Tries to set it to 000000009 (which is the Bullet bill item id)
Nothing happens

EDIT: I've added a couple more codes and fixed a couple of others.

I found almost all of the force/item codes myself, which was awful. I'll probably do some inventory items later. I didn't do max inventory because the game won't let you open chests if you have max of something, and since JGecko keeps it constant, I figured this was better.

okay so i finally found 2 refined addresses i needed to poke to create an item hack. so i poked the 2 addresses to bullet bill item id ( also tried to do star power item id) but nothing happened. Later, I noticed something was causing this issue. I found the issue but could not find a answer.

The issue is -

i tried to poke them with star power and bullet bill item ids but as soon as i poked, it changed for 1 second and then changed back to it's original item id. So, do the addresses have self-defense shields or something that i can't poke them permanently?

If you mean everywhere as in, "On every level", why yes, I believe it does... and I think it does need a Pointer. Oh, and I forgot to mention something else: you need to have an item in the secondary slot to get the item you want; an item to modify, in other words.

And I wonder why nobody's touched New Super Mario Bros Wii U yet?
