That's really nasty... but it's possible to just enable moonjump/infinite health/max attack power action replay codes to skim through the game quickly (actually to test stuff game devs often enable similar cheats) or search for a 100% save from gamefaqs (sadly they usually omit the WFC content) since time is running out indeed

thats what im saying, if you have to start from halfway through the game it kind of defeats the purpose. i suppose you could play up until a certain point then switch save files, but everything would be different, character names, collected items, exp points.

im still not sure what can be done about "Heroes of Mana", the save file starts at like the last level, you cant start a new game, you cant transfer the bonus levels, and they appear online randomly, and only show up if you have a high level. its a complete nightmare. at this point the only thing to do with HOM is just forget about it, play the game normally, then after you beat it load the Gamefaqs save file just to see what the bonus missions were like.

hi, i noticed that the list you used is outdated
and has some newer games missing,
so i copied the list directly from Nintendo.

also some dont have any DLC, only online multiplayer.
im thinking now maybe people can report
which games have DLC and which dont,
and you can mark them off accordingly.

so... ill get the ball rolling...

REPORT
Trackmania Turbo:
uses a server system for storing tracks, but you can only access YOUR personal tracks you upload, so NO DLC on this one. (the Wii version might though, ill check later)

REPORT
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
the online multilayer actually unlocks things in the single player game.
there is an achievement system, and after you get so many achievements online, it says "go see the merchant in the game". (i have a save file with 100% achievements and no progress in the main game, and with the name, LINK, ill upload it later)

NOA told me that DS air was never released in the US. It was a Japan-only Nintendo game called Jet impluse.
5 Planes are avaliable as DLCs. I've downloaded them.

Plus: Number battle's Wi-Fi is for online multiplayer only.

Mario VS DK 2 has very few Nintendo made DLC levels.
6 for US and 8 for JP.

Yes, they all load and appear to have the proper languages in my utility. I really need to add batch features to it so I don't have to extract the 100s of files by hand :P

You sure do LOL, but I doubt if people really need batch feature that badly unless it's some special conditions like this.
BTW, are there any duplicates of any microgames? I'm that kind of person that may screw things up when working on it too long...

Nice! Did you check all my data.bin files?

what am i supposed to do with a .bin file? maybe im missing something here, but arent DS saves usually in .sav format?

also i thought Warioware DIY had user created level. so i dont understand how it can be "taken care of" if there are millions of levels on the wifi.

please clarify.

Wario Ware Diy has its Wii version showcase, which connects to the same Ninsoft store and downloads the same contents.
The bin data are save data copied out from a Wii in the official way, located at SD:/private/wii/title/WA4X/data.bin
(X can be J,E,P depending on the game's region.)

WWDIY did have user created games, but Unlike Mario VS DK, they're only available for download if they were uploaded to attend a competition and were chosen as the top(20?50?Not sure.)And 100+ Nintendo created game.
The competitions have long ended back in 2010, and non of the competition games were available for download in the EU and US versions.(They were all collected though)
You can still download competition Winning games for the JAP version, but no more updoads are accepted.
The final updates of Nintendo made DLCs were also ended back in 2011.

OK. i have some save files ready for posting. please check them out to see if they work. they are 0-9, so rename them according to your flashcart numbering system, or load them with a DS emulator please. or if you have the time, put 10 copies of the same game on a microSD card and load each one.

Zelda Phantom Hourglass
(all "big plays" unlocked from the online battle, which does something in the main game)
there are 2 slots named Steve, and LINK. characters will call you by that name in the game, so its better to use LINK.

l-Big-Plays.rar

Jet Impulse / DS Air
its no good to just download the 5 planes because there are 5 planes available into 3 slots, which, do the math, requires 10 save files.
5 Jets @ 3 slots = 10 files for all possible combinations of jets.

Advance Wars Days of Ruin

ill upload my first lot of advance wars wifi maps. it only has a Random download option, so im just downloading as many random user created maps as possible. later i hope to catalog every one and maybe make a "best of" compilation. keep in mind im not editing for content, the only maps i delete are anything titled "CHESS", or just really simple looking maps.

If anyone could get the additional content for the DS Inazuma Eleven too, that would be appreciated too.
Time is running up...
How is this content downloaded? Doing Wifi matches or just connecting to CFW?

I recently acquired both Naruto RPG 2 and Path of the Ninja 2 (PotN2 being RPG 3). If anyone else has the game, I would be up for some quick battles online to unlock all the wi-fi only characters! I know the game isn't exactly a priority, but hey, if anyone is willing...

I can help you with that, send me a PM for details.

Realistically, you can't expect to skim through all of that user created stuff. It would be a nightmare.
Only the official Nintendo-made levels are actually needed.
If you'd like to just download the best rated ones, that would be much preferable.

Also to salvage the e-Reader content for Super Mario Advance 4 (too big to fit on a single save file), they just made two save files and divided the content between both of them. No need to get all the combinations ;)

Jet impulse does, since it does not have the ability to transfer planes locally, and no save editors has been made.

BTW do you want US and JP Mario VS DK 2 Nintendo levels? I'll email them to you since I have your email already.

Advance wars dosent have nintendo levels. only "download random map".

the link i put is only a preliminary set. so people can test to see if it works on their flashcart. and if the file sharing site works.

I plan on cataloging all the maps in a text file, sorted alphabetically, so if someone wanted a certain map, they hit search and see that their map is in "Advance_wars_58.sav", or whatever.

----------

as for Zelda phantom hourglass, and Jet Impulse, they are as close to perfect as i can get. (starting at beginning, generic name). like HNKii said, Jet Impulse cannot transfer the bonus planes, so there MUST be 10 save files to contain all the possible combinations, and i put a TXT for easy reference.

all one needs to do is read the TXT, and determine what set of planes they want.

Can I ask which flash card you use? I'm on Acekard 2i and the download always hangs.

which game are you talking about, Advance Wars?, if so maybe wait awhile, sometimes the maps are pretty big and take 40-60 seconds.

im using CycloDS iEvo. but it dosent matter what flash cart you have, just use
"DS-Scene_Rom_Tool_v1.0_build_1205_Pack"

grab the DS Scene Rom Tool from the temps download section, and tell it to update AP Patches database. (it automatically downloads it from a server) then patch all your games with the program, and it even trims the roms down as well,

i ran Warioware through it, and it went from 130 Mb to 16 Mb. its a godsend.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
