They are sort of like dev notes in an interactive fashion. Not too high in our priorities. ^_^

Looking forward to this. I hope you plan to release a version as soon as a case is translated. That would keep us occupied while the others are being translated.

A case-by-case release would be nice.
Yes, I want this too, I actually played the first case thanks to a translation on youtube, playing and watching the translation at the same time:

There's another translation on youtube, but it hasn't the answers of the botton screen translated and I liked a lot more this one, the only bad thing are the "translated names".

I asked about this before, but... If someone makes a reference of something that has another name in localization (like a site or something easy to "localize") is the team about to put it?

Because there's a few references on the first case for example and I would apreciate they, for example localizate the name of Ryunosuke Naruhoodo to Ryunosuke Wright isn't necesary.

Will you keep the Naruhodo name or turn it into 'Wright' ?

(because naruhodo sux, except that this time it's not phoenix si IMO it's acceptable to keep it)

We are in need of coders to help us program new tools to work with the game. If you know people, send them our way. ^_^

Well, coder is a very broad field. I think you should clarify what exactly you need. And on the translation: are covered there? I heard you took it from a video..?

Have you contacted people who worked on the second Investigations game? Some people at Court Records might be willing to help

Coder, as in someone who is fairly experienced in programming applications. Also yes, a lot of the translations are taken from these videos, with permission from the creator.

We've had them come and go. Court Records is rather dead as a community, most of them have moved on to other vast parts of the Internet, such as /r/aceattorney.

I have a question, will the VA for Naruhodou be in Japanese or English? ( Eg Objection, Hold it, etc.)
We have no plans at this time to change the voices.

You misunderstood me. What field in programming. There's people good with graphics or sound or data or hacking existing apps. Coders specialize in different areas. And I didn't accuse you of stealing, I was just wondering if it's possible to take a translation from a video and apply it to a game seamlessly. I have a degree in Japanese Studies and I know from experience that translating it can be a bitch (especially old Japanese).

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

i think only the red mario kart edition phat was v5
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
