PS1/2 ps2 issue

ok so i have a fat pal ps2 with the fcmb noob package installed. all seems to work, i have a few us nstc game backups working through esr but somehow i cant get kingdom hearts 2 final mix working (the whole reason i get the f'ing thing in the first place)

so i have
ps2 fat pal
esr disk patcher
memento disk patcher
sony dvd-r

and all kinds of burners (alcohol 120% trial, imgburn, toast titanium mac, burn mac)

i am quite new to all this and i don't know how likely this is to get answered but any help would be awesome

I personally have a PAL version of this game working in my NTSC. (Because i wanted the french version)
