ps3 hacking for ps2 game iso

I have two ps3, which would be better for hacking? I am intersted playing ps2 games (iso)
Is it possible, I have 80gb fat, and first gen slim. the fat is probably hasnt been updated since 2012 ish, and slim has maybe 2021

Unless the fat PS3 model is CECHEXX or older (which physically have some PS2 hardware inside), the fat and slim would both play PS2 games the same since it'd be pure software emulation at that point.
