My original PS3 slim is 10 years old. Bought back in 2010. It's condition isn't the greatest, wondering on methods to either refurb it. Or best place to get original cases and I will swap it during the current situation. Do people still think fan mods are required for PS3 Slims. 2100 models?

Shall I refurb it or leave as is?

If refurb, what shall I do to current case?

Buy a replacement?

It is worth opening up to clean and if you feel skilled enough you should do a thermal paste replacement. It should keep it cool enough to last forever. Also changing the HDD for a SSD will help cool a lot!
But it is definitely not worth much so don't waste your time on it... You can get a decal they are cheap and easy...
