PSP 1000 dpad is not great , anyone know of methods to improve it ?

hi again , as you know the 1000 models dpad is not great. I'm looking at methods in improving the feel and responsiveness.

any info helps .

You can (or used to) get these dpad addons which you would stick on top of the OG dpad. I used it on my PSP but whilst it improved things, it still wasn't a match for a good dpad.
