I've noticed that the boot.3dsx file is exactly the same type of file as Homebrew applications, leading me to wonder if I where to rename...let's say Blargsnes.3dsx to boot.3dsx, put it in the root of the SD card, it would load just like it would load as a the HB Launcher.

I have not tried this yet, as I'm not sure what could happen. I'm still a noob to the 3DS HB scene, so I'm sorry if I'm asking a really noobish question.

Thank you! :)

You should be able to use just about any 3dsx file for your boot.3dsx, but some programs like BlargSNES are having issues with some hax (like themehax), so you're probably still better off using the HB launcher, ctrbootmanager, or the grid launcher, so that you can boot other things like 3DS Sound (so BlargSNES and others can run properly).

Yep... Just as you said!

Thank you! Am considering replacing GameYob3DS.3dsx as my little brother's boot.3ds.
He just wants to play Pokemon Yellow :P.

I myself am fine with my current launcher (Masher's Grid Launcher).
