Homebrew Random Question

I’m curious. If one were to use a regular Pokémon DS game (such as Black/White) on a 3DS, will it work when I use Checkpoint to save the progress and PKHex the game later on? Or does that only work for the 3DS ones?

AFAIK from reading the PKHeX forum post, I think it should work.

You can always use PKSM, which does not require Exporting, and I believe works with old DS Pokemon versions.
