I recently came across a switch that wouldn't power on but when I connected it to the usb tester it was drawing amps thus charging. I then proceeded to try some payload and none of them was able to read the nand. I have another unit and tried to swap out the emmc module just to make sure there wasnt anything wrong with the motherboard and to my surprise it was able to initialize the nand !!! But it still wouldn't boot because of the per console encryption keys

My question is since I don't have any backup (aside from the TSEC SBK HWI & generated BIS KEY) is it possible to rebuild the nand using those info that I have, provided I get a replacement module?

PS: I also tried to reflow the chip and tin the connector pads

I also read on a thread here that someone can generate Boot0 and Boot1 using choidujour I wonder if it would be possible to rebuild the file system using it. Based on the fuse count I can see that it was on fw 8.0.1. Waiting on any valuable insight here guys. Thanks

There is a similar post over there but they never came up with a solution since the OP had other issues with their unit

Not overly knowledgable on this but I think the manual choi upgrade on the switch.homebrew.guide site should help you out (can't link as am a newbie on here).

Essentially fully rebuilding the NAND with your BIS keys. You can then boot into CFW with hekate - skipping fuse check, and update to whichever version you need.

Mattytrog on here has a prebuilt switch unbricking package I've read good things about too, that does the same thing as that guide.

Ok I found the post containing the package here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/a-way-to-unbrick-your-nintendo-switch.530961/page-2

but its password locked. I will try to PM Mattytrog see if he would share it with me :)

Hm thats definitely a problem, again not speaking from experience but I presume a replacement chip from ebay (other auction sites are available) might do the trick and not be encrypted? Am secretly hoping someone more knowledgeable will stumble upon your thread

There is actually no method to encrypt a switch emmc with the keys. If you actually have the backup or the emmc you can read/write them using your keys.I am gonna try to solder the chip to an sd adapter and maybe I can dump it if its still viable. Will update the post if i succeed

The encryption on the donor drive doesn't matter, you would need to wiping that one and overwrite it with your device's encryption keys. I do not believe there is a way to build boot0/1 if you don't already have your console's keys dumped.
