Why all this? Is 4.0 any different in case of banner brick? Or is this another type of brick?

Banner brick removing by installing those wads? I thought a banner brick is a brick due to a damaged/broken channel that was installed and crashes as soon as the wii menu tries to display its banner.

To revover from such a brick when you have preloader installed, just run wad manager and uninstall that channel.

PS: Uploading IOS and cIOS wads is illegal and you should know that already. It's been discussed 1000 times now and there's a sticky alone for this.

This is way too old news...
And incorrect info...


You only can recover from a banner brick doing this:

Uninstall the Last .WAD file(s) you installed.
Since one of those will cause the banner brick, since it includes some bad banner or info.

So no need to take even more risk to a full brick with installing System menu's / overwrite IOS's that Preloader / System menu uses...!

And WiiMonkey, remember that a banner bricked 4.0 Wii even can't install Preloader... (Nor a not (banner) bricked virgin 4.0)
