I'd also like to thank nop90 for releasing the source to mset pasta. Good guy.

This is not absolutely true. But if you like it, continue doing it.
I aways start pressing the L key just before tapping on DS profile, thee boot rate doesn't change.
What is the boot rate?Dunno but it like never boot when I hold "L" before clicking so someone here said me to hold "L" after I click and it worked a lot better so it might be the same problem for him.
My flaw in doing this is I can't seem to find my ip for my 3ds, in wireless network watcher all I see under nintendo and ip is 10.0.0.172... I know this is not correct. If somone knows what I'm doing wrong it would be helpfull to know...
In my wireless network watch all I get is the 10.0.0.172 ip under nintendo.... Yes I am running this all wirelessly.Do you have a wireless router? Try looking for the 3DS IP on it.

That is probably correct. However may I ask the IP address of your computer that is also connected to the same network?

Taken from the 1st post:
So, in lower this means this can also be done from 3.0.0-6.0U FW? My son's ODS3 is on older FW from 2011. Hasn't been updated since late 2011. Will this still work without updating to 4.x first?
The thread title does say 4.x so the quoted part from above does include lower than 4.5 so just want to clear this up before trying something that won't work. Thanks!
it mean 4.x.
GW's launcher is pretty heavily encrypted and obfuscated, you'd have to reverse engineer it first, and of course it has the infamous brick code that triggers if you alter the launcher at all. It's far from as simple as you assume it is x:According to a paste by ShinyQuagsire, GW loads their payload from 0x48000, after the old MSET/Spider ROPs. Not sure if it's of any help, but if it means what I think it does, someone could pull the code from the latest GW launcher and plop it into the Pasta MSET (with the other version specific values changed, too) at the right location and get it to boot.

Now, navigate to Settings --> Other --> Profile. WHILE HOLDING THE L BUTTON, tap DS Profile. The screen should be a DARK blue on the top. As with regular CFW, the bottom screen should ideally flash white for a moment and then load the CFW. If it doesn't, hold power to reboot the system and repeat step 9. Make sure to hold L.
It's the same thing. Is the MSET profile that needs to be installed the same thing as the DS Profile Hack that needs to be installed on SD Card? If not, please point me to the MSET install tutorial on the forums. Thanks!
Thanks for this guide my xl refused to boot using the regular palatine cfw, this boots every time for me.
