It'd be interesting to know who here ran into a decryption bug with rxTools. Where did the hash check fail (exefs or romfs)? Does it happen if you have rxTools generate a xorpad instead of doing in-place decryption?

So right now the main issue would be that the installation files for FBI and MSET aren't working properly, but FBI should work if installed through another previous exploit thanks to sig patches. Am I missing anything?

"Proper" installation would arguably require modifying ticket.db, and that's such a brutally touchy and picky file format that the H&S hijack seems infinitely safer.

Open the tools folder contained on the download, execute msetdg.exe, it will generate a file, copy that file to the root of your SD card. Then, launch RXTools, others, mset downgrade and wait .

Also, anyone know why many are saying MSET downgrade isn't working?

MSET isn't working on 8.1.0 too when both .nds RXinstaller and RXmenu downgraded MSET are done.
It's a feature that would deserve a fix, indeed.

MSET Downgrader I think was meant for 5/6.x users. I don't think it works for 7.x+ users yet.

He hasn't done a payload for MSET that works on 9.x

Unlike original 4.x, it has to be rewritten to use memchunkhax and such. It will work in a manner similar to doing it from spider. But obviously some things will be different because MSET is the entry point instead of Spider.

Anyone managed to get rxTools to compile correctly? I tried the new source with latest version of DevKitPro (with the required dependencies and Python 2.7), but I get a whole bunch of errors. The resulting dat file boots, but rxMode is broken. Something is wrong with the source or Roxas wasn't specific on what version of DevKitArm/DevKitPro that should be used with this.

CN launcher is broken too right now. Impossible to start RXtool with Ninjhax.

If your sysnand is 4.x the mset works.
i didn't try or talk about Mset Downgrader.
And as far as i know the mset dowgrader was intended for 6.x sysnand, if i'm not mistaking.
