I've been hearing about nand fragmentation with the H&S FBI injection, is this a real problem to be concerned about? Especially on sysnand, if I did the injection method couldn't I clear it with the system format?
Inject FBI into H&S app, install FBI.cia from within H&S app(which actually will be FBI) and then restore the H&S app. rxTools asks you if you want to backup H&S when you inject FBI from within rxTools' settings. This way, you won't get fragmentation. (I think?)I've been hearing about nand fragmentation with the H&S FBI injection, is this a real problem to be concerned about? I've got an older version, and I have an H&S backup, v2051 with 00000000.TMD 2.80kB and 00000005.app 832.00kB, and when I attempt to uninstall FBI through rxtools' menu and restore H&S it says completed, however after booting it still loads FBI on open. To do this, you need an older version. The latest nightlies have deleted the settings.
Yes it has for several weeks.RX Tools work on new 3ds Emunand 10.6?
Yes it has for several weeks.
You need to download one of the recent nightlies. Someone else will have to chime in for the link as I don't know the new link.Thank you.
Where is the link? I didnt find on first page.
Did you run the "n3ds_cdn_firm.py" python script and put the resulting "firm" folder in the rxTools folder?I'm having a bit of difficulties in setting up the latest Rxnightly. I have all the appropriate files from the supplied zip, I've placed key_0x1B.bin and key_0x16.bin in the root of the SD card, used the proper .3dsx and even have the screen pop up. Right now it consistently freezes at both the setting up the proper files screen and when hard reset (it takes well over a few minutes) it sticks on the Rxtoosl boot up screen.
I have a N3DS on 9.0.0, if anyone has any advice as to what to try next I would greatly appreciate it.
That is correct. Though it says to supply our own firm file I used that one initially. Then to make certain I pulled the file from Cakes recent release and attempted it with that as well to double check. Neither of them seemed to have worked for me.Did you run the "n3ds_cdn_firm.py" python script and put the resulting "firm" folder in the rxTools folder?
It's L, and you need to be on an older nighty as the newer ones removed the settings. Here i cant enter to menu to install fbi inject.
I have to hold R button?
It's not patched according to many people. This may not be rxCFW related but wonder if the Nintendo Selects version of Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time will have it's exploit patched or will it be identical to the original release version. We've seen Nintendo patch exploits in retail games when making more of them, think Twilight Princess. At least I have the original launch version of the game. I had it way before it was even on the exploitable list as I never played the N64 version so I thought I try the re-make. Very fun game.
If that's true, more people will be able to get their hands on an inexpensive exploitable game since Ocarina of Time was minimum $50 or more here in the states since Nintendo stopped making them. With MenuHax and BrowserHax being patched in 10.6It's not patched according to many people.
You can use Decrypt9 to dump the ticket.db and then use FunkyCIA2 to download the titles and pack them into CIA format. When using the system titles dump it will dump all e-shop games as well as built in games? and how can I tell which files are which game? I am trying to extract my hyomemenu games as well as games bought from the e-shop so I can have the .cia files from them. Is it possible to do that with rxtools?
I'm using arm9loaderhax and rxTools no problem. You have to use another entry point to let rxTools run the data installation suite first. Is A9LH support still broken?
I installed the 2nd March version posted here which has A9LH support and while the code.dat and .3dsx boot fine (confirming the data folder has been generated and the firm folder is fine), I just get a black screen with the arm9loaderhax.bin.
Using a Japanese N3DS with 9.2 SysNAND, 10.6 EmuNAND loading through ctrbootmanager9.

There is no march 2 version. Latest commit was on Feb 29 and since then nothing happenedIs A9LH support still broken?
