ROM Hack Request: Ark Survival Evolved Switch 60fps mod

Hello! I am wondering if it would be possible to create a 60 fps mod for Ark: Survival evolved? I searched everywhere and about 95% sure there is not one currently released. I noticed on overclock I am very steady at 30 fps, so I think it could handle more. Thanks!

ARK has shitty optimization even on #pcmr.


If you need OC to get stable 30 FPS you're wrong thinking you can get 60 FPS with just OC.

I think you select wrong way.this game cant and dont need 60 fps.this is Whimsical.all 60fps patch just unlock 30fps.maybe we need increase resloution.If you select fps you will get game resloution is 240*120p.

I wanted to necro this thread. The Switch version of Ark Survival Evolved received a MAJOR update a few months ago. They had a different studio redo the whole port from the ground up. It's phenomenal. I installed the full PC game on my Steam Deck to compare, and to be honest I think the Switch version has a lot of benefits. From controls to game size to graphics even.

The base game on Switch is like 6.6 GB compared to 127 on PC. With all DLC it's still under 15GB, while over 300 GB on PC. Both switch ver and Steam Deck ver run at 30 fps, but switch version has more battery life and graphics are a bit less jaggy especially things in the distance (though general shadows and lighting are less detailed).

Switch also has better battery life in this game. It's all very impressive. So with that said, I think it is completely *reasonable* to ask for a 60 FPS patch now, especially for emulators. I would LOVE to see if people can get this game running at 60 FPS on Steam Deck emulated in Yuzu or Ryujinx -- it could make for one of the most interesting comparisons we have ever seen.
