Hacking Retroarch on Wii U... Is it any good what cores work?

I haven't seen or read much about RA on wii u & I have a day off finally... Quite tempted to give it a shot... Depending on what cores work.... I hate that N64 game are stuck to 4.3 on wii u.... Was hoping I could get them working in 16.9 using RA... & if Fba works I'd be pleased as I have a ton of games... & of course if anyone has any suggestions.. Or is currently using RA.. It would be great to get some feedback... On what works & what won't...

Sadly there is no n64 emulator for retroarch wiiu but what we do have is the following and they all work really good.

There are 3 or more... Been using Fba 2012 for all my Neo Geo & CPS1 & 2 Which is all my old favorite arcade fighter games... Working flawlessly

thanks, its been a while and my question was more about which ROM set revision works with MAME and what the compatibility is like because the PS3 port can only play a handful of titles beyond the CPS1/2 + Neo Geo. I just want something to replace CoinOps on OG Xbox and am checking this out.

Im strugling with retroarch on my WiiU.
Latest version is installed and if i run arcade game with wrong core it freezes, but when i try run it after reload or restart nothing happens.
I need to delete cfg file and start again untill next wrong core.
I read that it wors great for most of users so obviously im doing something wrong.
Any help is welcomed.

i have to Admit ..i have not updated it since around last Xmas ... but everything was working and still is .... i just used WII64 vWii Forwarder .. for N64 Games

My mistake. I left .elf cores in sd:/retroarch folder.
What a noobish mistake

Now it works, just have to find which core is best for different arcade roms.

2003 is the best for more demanding games like Mortal Kombat. Less demanding and/or older games run quite well with newer cores.

I used FBA for most of my arcade Street Fighter 2 type games.. There is also a PSP emulator on WIIU now.. Worth checking out...

Can someone tell me please, where to put the roms for retroarch, I got the snes and sega cores from hbl app store. Also I downloaded the retroarch forwarder but it just redirects back to wii u menu.

Oh yes there is a great tool for the its called...

You can inject wii & GameCube Games to wup format to install on your WIIU its fairly simple to use as for N64 the games always seems dark ao i didn't bother but they did fix that.. I just didn't do it but as far a Wii games i have 70 & about 80 GameCube games on my WIIU & as for wiiu games i used USB Helper...
