Hacking Question Reverting to past firmware without intact fuses and reverting to backups

So as I understand, reverting back to a FW <4.1.0 if you're on a FW >4.1.0 kills the functionality of your cart slot. But since backup loading spoofs game carts would you be able to load backups after the downgrade?

And one smaller question, will reverting to a past backup containing 3.0.0 from 5.1.0 also kill the cart slot? I'd assume so but I'd rather be wrong.

1 don’t know for sure but I guess card emulation would not be affected.
