Hey all,

I'm trying to load some wads of Rock Band 2 DLC into my WiiU's vWii via yawmm, but I'm having trouble with the install step.

The install appears to run, but at the end of whatever files I try, I get error 1022 (Error code -1022 content did not match hash in TMD). The wads all indicate they use IOS37 which I haven't patched, but I also can't tell if I need to/should patch it. I've seen a few posts on here about people nearly bricking their systems trying to do a patch of IOS37, but I also can't find any posts confirming that patching it will even fix the issue. I would include links to the other posts that I'm basing this on but I don't know if that's allowed given my newbie status.

For background, I'm on a WiiU with the most up to date firmware and tiramisu, as well as the most up to date versions (as far as I can tell) of the vWii homebrew channel and yawmm. My goal is to run Rock Band 2 off the disc and have it access the DLC wads as installed by yawmm or another tool suited to the job. USB Loader GX would be preferable to the disc version but I understand that route has its own set of problems. Also, the SD card I'm using is 32GB so I believe wad2bin isn't a viable option in this scenario, but I would love to be wrong about that.

Assuming patching IOS37 would let me install the DLC wads with yawmm, is there a patched 37 I could install safely and a guide on how to do that?

Alternatively, if patching IOS37 *isn't* the right move, does anyone know what is?

Thanks very much in advance for any insight!

So it looks like I can get most if not all of the songs from Rock Band 2 in Rock Band 3 with very little extra effort. I've given up on RB2 for now but I'd love to know if someone comes up with a way to get Rock Band 2 DLC to play natively without needing to use a bunch of separate 2GB SD cards.

I followed a tutorial for transform wad to bin
Now I got bin files in private folder of my sd and some wads "bogus" in root
I copy false wad in "wad" folder and trying to install in vWii with YAWM I get an error

Which program do I need to use for install bogus wad in vwii? How is this process?

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
