Hardware Router locks up after waking up my computer from sleep mode

So some time ago, I got myself a Netgear Nighthawk AC1750, and it works wonderfully, except for this one problem with regard to my main computer. I put my computer to sleep when I don't need to use it, but most of the time when I wake it from sleep mode, my router locks up. I've never had this happen with any other router I've used, but then again, my other routers are pretty old and don't have various features as this newer one has (next one up is a TP-Link TL-WR841N from 2010). I have yet to have any other of my devices cause this problem, but then again, all of those are connected wirelessly. My main computer is connected via wired.

Windows 10 Pro
Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.5Ghz
Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard
8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
Radeon RX 480 8GB (plus Intel HD Graphics 4600 for secondary monitor)
