Rune Factory 4 Special coming to PS4, PC, and Xbox

After years of being a Nintendo exclusive, Rune Factory 4 is coming to new platforms. XSEED is bringing Rune Factory 4: Special, an enhanced version of the 2012 3DS game to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam PC.

Rune Factory 4 Special opens with a young man or woman falling from an airship and landing in the town of Selphia. Appointed the local regent by mistake, the hero is charged with protecting the town and bettering the lives of its people. As the newly appointed prince or princess, royal duties are fulfilled by issuing orders to help the town prosper, or by taking a more relaxed approach to governance by raising crops and helping townsfolk. Should some dungeon adventuring be on the day’s itinerary, a vast array of weapons along with magic can be crafted or bought for battle against dangerous foes—companions or friendly monsters can also join to aid the player during their travels. And, of course, there’s a huge cast of lovable townsfolk, including 12 potential suitors to woo and marry.
About

The curtain rises on a beautiful sunny day, as the hero tumbles from the heavens…

Luckily, a friendly dragon is there to break their fall. But, although uninjured, the hero can remember only their name. Under the auspices of the dragon Ventuswill, the hero comes to live in the local castle and, as a newly designated ruler, begins their life anew while developing the town, making difficult decisions, and cultivating the soil.

One day while out exploring their newfound home, the hero encounters a monstrous butterfly. However, after vanquishing this massive foe, a girl lies on the ground in its place. Why did the monster turn into a person? From these mysterious beginnings, the hero’s search for the truth will lead to a grand adventure that will shake the very foundations of their world…and draw them closer to the secret buried in their own lost memories.

Rune Factory 4 Special marks the return of the beloved entry in the popular Story of Seasons spinoff series that combines farming with dungeon adventuring, as the series makes its debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with upgraded HD graphics, a new “Newlywed Mode,” and additional cut-scenes. In this standalone story, players choose to play as a male or female hero and will encounter a diverse cast of potential suitors and other loveable townsfolk. As the newly appointed prince or princess, you can fulfill your royal duties by issuing ordinances to help the town prosper, or take a more rural approach to governing by raising your own fruits and vegetables and helping townsfolk. Should some dungeon adventuring be on the day’s itinerary, you can craft or buy a vast array of swords, spears, and staves along with magic for battle against dangerous foes, or even bring along some companions or friendly monsters to aid you during your travels.

Not something I would really play on a home system tbh.
I love these series on handhelds due to how time heavy they can be.

Im glad this happened since this port was specially made to get money and having more plataforms means that you will get more consumers and more people into the series and thats nice and all but please dont port rf5 to other plataforms since i bought a switch specially for that title(im joking around but it will hurt me if that happens), my pc probably cant handle rf5 anyway(neither can the switch lmao), they should have released this game right now no idea why they want to delay it since the game is already finished(since around 9 years)
Lets hope that they can fix the perfomance issues with 5 before the english release
