Hardware Sending in Wii U gamepad for repair

My kid dropped something on my Wii U gamepad and left a nice dent in it It's purely cosmetic BUT it's bugging the hell out of me. I was thinking about sending it in to Nintendo to see if they would repair/replace it. My Wii U has CHBC setup on it, off the top of my head there shouldn't be any concerns; I don't believe the gamepad would retain any information about this correct?

Don't worry about it. The Gamepad is completely unrelated to the console content. Literally no trace of CBHC can be found on it. Compare to a Wiimote.

Nintendo can't send it if you reflashed Wii U Gamepad firmware. But, hope that they will send one of the "Dev" Wii U gamepads which are used for debugging purposes, it would help this scene alot...
