ROM Hack ShiverBot - Splatoon 3 memory editor using sys-botbase

Did you admit to violating the ToS on the phone? I'm thinking about contacting them myself to get some more info, but knowing nintendo I'm worried this might escalate the ban's severity lol

I just said that I received the error code 2124-5114 and then they took a second to check what it was and read off the same description as posted on the website.

Just got a 2124 5114 ban. I've contacted nintendo and they said that they could't give me the duration of the ban,but they said exactly :
Dear Axel. The first ban usually takes one or more weeks, unfortunately we cannot provide you with this information at this time. If you are banned multiple times, it will be a permanent ban. Cordially.

Im just so afraid and stressing about the fact that i dont want the ban to escalate to a 2124 4508.
Idk if the creator of Shiverbot will see this,but if you see that,can you eventually tell me if there is a high risk.

So I have been reaching to other representatives to see if I can get a different answer and was able to reach a supervisor. He was able to check directly into my account and unfortunately he said that the ban duration is (unlimited) meaning that it is a permanent ban. He said that there isn't anything he can do to lift it or change it. Interesting though he said it does not specify what caused the ban specifically. He also said that the ban is only for Splatoon 3. Looks like I'll have to start all over from the beginning on a new account. I hope this helps everyone!

Quick update - I'm now officially banned. I logged on at lunch but got slapped with the error code. Not sure why the hammer came late for me. I probably triggered something after my salmon run rounds earlier this morning. They definitely are doing thorough checks now.....

Personally, I'm going to take a 2 week vacation from splatoon and avoid anything else that may escalate me into a full blown console ban. Part of me is somewhat relieved that this happened only a month out from launch instead of 6+ months. It's far easier to rebuild with early game gear than a matured game.

No for sure its a perma ban. I've gotten my account banned on splatoon 2 before for editing sea snails and the ban was permanent. Though I was able to use another account to cheat again on the same switch, I was never able to play online on the account I cheated with. The account ban you all received is a permanent account ban just for splatoon 3. if this is just your first ban, the account that was banned is unable to play splatoon 3 online forever but can still use the account online for other games. If another ban occurs again, your console is strictly software online ban from playing splatoon 3 no matter how many accounts you make but you still play online on other games. If you cheated with the same account on another game with anti-cheat, Nintendo will warn you that 1 more ban will delete your account permanently. Meaning all eshop purchases on that account is gone forever. 3rd strike is getting banned on another game like 1st party game with anti-cheat will completely take away all online features from the console. Making it completely useless and only good for homebrew/piracy

And probably the massification of cheating itself and people bragging their ridiculous amounts of ability chunks online (that's why I said "be lowkey"). I do believe there was no auto-flag for ability chunks, as there were people who edited them when the game literally came out (1.5 months ago, ver1.0). The devs looked for sus activity manually °_°

I do know of one person that only cheated on tableturf special and nothing else, and they didn't get banned. That does not mean they didn't add additional checks to it with this update, so I wouldn't try anything.

Lesson learned, and stick to the gear seed method if you want good gear

Since I've been part of anti-cheat development before I can tell you this is incorrect.

Most people get flagged in a system. Then a system will continue to monitor your more often to see a pattern. If it's unsure, it will ask for a manual review. If it's sure, it will ban.

Also some ban flags can be delayed. They might have cheated in ver 1.0 and first now they get banned. That's how we did it.

I only did Money editing and nothing else. A little bit of gatcha and purchasing on the shop, but I definitely wasn't crazy with it (perhaps max 3 mio in 2 weeks in total). Yet my account is banned.
It's pretty easy, whatever unnatural things you change/do, Nintendo will know and act accordingly due to Splatoon 3 having server based saves. The best thing is to not to use any kind of memory editing/cheating or whatever you want to call it with your account if you don't want to lose it.

I guess they take cheating very seriously, I wish it was the same for the overall experience throughout the game itself.

Just got hit with the 2124-5114. I called Nintendo Support and it seems like they are just reading off a script saying that it is a permanent ban. I asked for more info and the representative said that some bans are lifted after a while and just to check again after a few weeks but he wasn't sure 100% sure. So I guess just keep checking.

It's an account ban which is usually a 2nd offense believe or not. a small ban is banning your console but you can play splatoon 3 with your account on another switch. As a person who's been ban all the time. this is bad lol.
I rather have a 2nd chance than losing my account. The guy on the phone probably thought you were temp ban. like those temp bans you get from disconnecting a lot.

I guess in the end it did not matter the quantity of things someone changed, ban got both people who immediately went 99999999 and those who did it little by little, we knew the risks but got fooled by how things were handled in Splatoon 2

those who got banned and those who did not, might only be luck or a matter of time

well lesson learned ill never edit again something that is obtainable only online

I started over with a new account, using the 7 day trial of nso and i can play online, the ban was only that first account not the whole console, thankfully

also with the banned account i tried other games like monster hunter rise, overwatch 2, mario kart and mario party superstars and all works online, so its just splatoon 3

At least it happened "soon", i was like lvl 20, story mode finished but i did not complete the secret level after alterna... good... because if i did i was not going to do that sh1t again will try with this new account when the time comes

From now on i'll continue to use Shiverbot only for drawings, welp, it was fun until it lasted

Is there any chance you could come up with a gear seed checker that works without sys/USB-bot? The only truly 100% safe way I can think of to obtain the information without manual scrubbing is either (as Lean mentions in his guide) through the save's code which I know you haven't messed with since Shiverbot looks at RAM and no one seems to be working on decrypting it, or via loading our dumped save in Ryujinx as they have a LDN where you can get into the lobby. I suspect that Nintendo are able to see that you've loaded Splatoon 3 in sysNAND at some point even if you're not online when you do it and they're obviously taking a harder stance this time around so doing it with their real accounts is not a risk some folks want to take. The RAM is viewable with Cheat Engine but you probably know the most about what addresses to look for, so even that info would be helpful.

I *think* the gold licenses only require any form of save data on the account to get the gold licenses. You could probably play a few turf war matches to get some battles on your account to make sure though.

For ranked specifically - If you have B- or better in any mode, you start at B- in S3. Personally, it might be easier to just hustle through S3 C rank since it'll be mostly extremely low level players.
