Hacking Silly question about boot2

Just curious about boot2 with BootMii.. I've got a new LU64+ Wii and BootMii installed as IOS.

Is it impossible for BootMii to run as boot2 on new Wiis? Or has the functionality just not been unlocked yet?

You can't run it on newer wii's as boot2 because the exploit they were using relied on a boot1 vulnerable to the trucha bug, something the newer wii's have fixed.

"Installing as boot2 is the most useful way to install BootMii, but it requires that we exploit a particularly silly bug in a part of the system that can not be changed under any circumstances. Nintendo finally fixed this bug in new Wiis that were released sometime in 2008. We have looked for a suitable replacement for this exploit, but have not found one, and it does not seem likely that anyone ever will." per bootmii
