I just got the sky3ds+ and I can't get it to work. Formatted the memcard to fat32 and put my roms and gameslist.bin in the folder (don't need diskwriter) but when I put it in my 3ds nothing happens but a single green led flash. I'm using a kingston card which I heard is finicky but I've never heard of it not being recognized by the 3ds at all.

also this review http://gbatemp.net/review/sky3ds.414/ says I need to get firmware.bin but when I go to sky 3ds site it says it's updated to latest version and clicking on firmware just reloads the page.

I'm on firmware 9.8.0-25u on my 3ds. Is that too old to be compatible?

got my roms from roms 43, are they legit? I thought this was supposed to be easy.

greatly appreciate any help.

I'm still testing mine, some roms from the eshop (phoenix wright dual destinies/trilogy and picross e) are not working (region error maybe?), but every other roms from the original cartridge are working perfectly. Probably a problem with the roms and not the cart.

Did you put it at the root of the card or did you create a folder?

I just dragged all the roms etc into the microSD when it popped up. they aren't in a zipped folder or anything.

So you guys don't use that site? I made sure the roms are all for my region and they are all the correct size and filename. I think majoras mask 3d is the first game on there.

I think if the roms are supposed to be eShop only they won't work with the Sky3DS... #rxToolsmasterrace

You can only use game axtract from cartridges. The format as to be .3DS.
You've got to use a FAT32 card, and then it's just plug and play.

Try another microSD, even a 2Gb, just to see if it works.

I don't have any other MicroSD on me. The kingston one I got is 32gb. The format on all my games is .3ds

How can you tell if The SD card works or not? when I plug it into the sky3ds and then plug that in via the usb cable I can copy files over and it flashes red and such but nothing shows up on my 3ds.

then it probably wont work, i had the same problem with a SD card, i copy roms to it, and everything works fine, until i put it in the 3ds, the games just dont show up.

tried reformatting with SD Formatter 4, didnt solve the problem for me.

so i went out and bought a few other SD's to test.

i have a working kingston 32gb sd, and a samsung 16gb that works
i have a samsung 32gb which doesnt work.. so yes, kinda weird.

i hope they will improve sd card compatibilitie with a firmware update or something :)

I really hope this isn't the case. I don't want to go around buying random SD cards hoping they will work. Is modchipcentral so incompetent they will bundle SD cards with products that aren't compatible?

I have a 128GB, can I use that?? or even a 64? I never heard that you need a 32. (Also, I'm waiting for sites to be back in stock before ordering my sky3ds+)

I tested multiple sd cards on mine last night, it does seem to be random which works and which don't work. I tested multiple high speed cards and a few regular class 4 and class 6. the class 6 is a no name ateam or something and it never worked, tried sandisk class 4 and it worked but with many issues changing games, ejecting the cartriadge would frequently cause it to stop working again etc. High speed sandisk worked OK but not great. Ended up on a 32GB samsung evo pro UHS1 and it works the best so far. If starting up from a coldboot its flawless and changes games in ~5 seconds. (sandisk was 8~9) I occasionally have problems with it initially reading the cart if i take it out and put it back in while the 3ds is on though, but I found inserting it slower helps, but if I just shut it off and back on its 100% flawless so I just do that on the rare occasion I take it out anyway.

To answer the above about firmware.bin, it is NOT required right now. The cards came shipped with latest version (v100) He outlines in that review how to do the process of updating for when they do release a future update, but there is not one available right now. Just need the gamelist.bin and your .3ds game roms. Also as they stated the games have to be the same region as your console.

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.

Me and wifey was deciding on our next vacation, so I hung up a map on the wall, and give her a dart and said, wherever you hit, we will go. She threw the dart and it missed the map completely and fell into a trash can below on floor. So I said "ok Florida it is."
