I don't know if this topic is still alive, but I need some help. I'm using UNEEK+DI, but it can't see the games on my drive (usb:/games/(game_id)/), tho I did everything right and stuff. In DI menu it keeps saying Games: 0, and postloader doesn't see any game too. The game I tried installing is Just Dance 2014. Tried both USB ports and result is the same. Any help on this?

Wii games go in /wbfs/. Gamecube games go in /games/.

Gamecube games should be "/games/Game title [TitleID]/game.iso" or "disc2.iso" for the second disc of multi-volume games.
Wii games should be "/wbfs/Game title [TitleId]/titleid.wbfs"

Examples:

GC: "/games/Alien Hominid [GAHEGG]/game.iso"
Wii: "/wbfs/A Boy and His Blob [SBLE5G]/SBLE5G.wbfs"

NEEK only works with USB port 0. (The one closest to the edge of the console.)

So I don't need DiscEx or something like that?

Hello. I'm trying to use the SNEEKInstaller 0.7a but I get an error when I press "get files."

The error is "Error downloading, file not found!" Could I get help on this please?

Hi guys,
I just got myself a Premade Emunand Setup.
Now I would like to get that to SD without any shared2 info from my nand. I just added a few .wad games and that's it. Can I simply put these three folders here to SD and then load it from wiiflow?

best wishes!

How much time you wait ???

The first time you will boot with Sneek, it's take time (not so long but not fast too). How much time you wait before resetting your wii ?

about 5-6 minutes. the wii drive just flashed blue and nothing happened. when booting through nswitch (boot.dol) it said "reloading bootmii IOS" and nothing happened there, either.

It can't find the files on the drive. Either they're in the wrong folder or the drive isn't partitioned properly.

If you're using the neek2o NEEK the NAND files need to go in "/nands/somename".
just changed the path and noticed there are two options in USB loader GX. one is emuNAND path (obviously) and the other is Emu NAND channel. what is that channel option for? and do I need it when I chose "neek" as loader setting for emunand games?

EmuNAND path is for save redirection. The second one is for launching NAND channel titles and it's the one GX uses for both NEEK and cIOS EmuNAND.

ok, I chose the emuNAND patch for both emuNAND and emuNAND channel.
I hope that is right.
USB Loader GX recognizes my emuNAND games, but trying to launch them just results in a black screen.

It's likely a partitioning issue, then, or the drive just isn't compatible.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
