This is just a quick fix for Windows machines;

I am sure I am not the only one who have had this problem. I had this problem several times, when connecting my device to the Wii, and being
unable to open the device at all.

EDIT: By "device", I mean your USB/SD/SDHC devices.

There is a simple command to run.

Click start-> run; and enter this "REGSVR32 /i SHELL32" (without quotes)

Then just wait a couple seconds (depending on PC speed). Then take out your device, and put it back in your PC.

An Auto-Play should now run, and you can click to view your files. If it does not run, open up "My Computer", and right-click on the device; then manually
select Auto-Play.

You may be thinking, why not just click auto-play in the first place?

Well, this is because the option is not there; not until you run that command.

This is either a simple bug, or just something wrong with Windows.

Enjoy;

P.S - Windows 7 users:

You may not see a run command in your start menu, if you cannot, just enable it by doing the following.

i) Right-click your start button.
ii) Select Properties
iii) Select Customize Start Menu
iv) Scroll down through the list, and select "Run Command".
v) Click Apply, and then your Run command will be in your start menu.

By device you mean a usb flash/hard drive? Its kind of confusing what this is for.

This is for USB/SD/SDHC, etc.

It pretty much works for all the devices that are plugged into the Wii.
