I'm not saying have them as standalone retroarch cores, I mean pretty much ditching retroarch and just having them be separate.

This would allow for a few things:

1. Better performance as retroarch isn't running

2. Less space required for those on a smaller sd card

3. It wouldn't take as long to get into a game

Daedalusx64 is standalone and runs pretty well on n3ds compared to ps1 emulation(I know its literally comparing apples to oranges, but shouldn't the n64 be harder to emulate?) and not relying on retroarch should help the o3ds significantly. Not run the entire ps1 library at fullspeed significantly, but significantly.

gpSP wouldn't benefit as much as pcsx rearmed, especially considering you can just use injects, open agb firm, etc. Some people would probably prefer just putting roms on their 3ds and opening an app from the homescreen though. Plus having gpsp standalone opens the door for better performance obviously and with some tweaks could be running a good amount of games at fullspeed on o3ds.
