No sound after updating PCSX ReARMed for 3DS

I don't know how to fix this and all the guides I've found are out of date. Is there a current guide?

I'm not sure if I have a DSP Plugin. It seems to want me to browse for one. I have run DSP1 from the Homebrew Channel.

I updated RetroArch as well as PCSX ReARMed, although PCSX ReARMed seems to work just as well without the generic RetroArch installed.

I do have my older installers and settings backed up, but restoring them doesn't restore sound.

Moving on, I've deleted the older config files and I did a fresh install using the .cia version from the RetroArch website. Sound works now, but it's choppy. I don't think it was choppy before the update.

EDIT: It's fine again now. I used this guide and set frameskip to 0.
