As you may already know, I am a massive fan of Street Fighter and was quite excited to see this new project go up on Kickstarter - Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game.

A lot of video game pitches fail on kickstarter, but board games, especially licensed ones, usually do really well on the platform. Street Fighter The Miniatures Game seems to be following that trend, by offering a high-quality board game based on the classic fighting series. Check out the awesome statues:

The game won't ship until March 2019, but the project fund of $280k has nearly been reached in just 1 day.

Yes, it is because of the Youtuber that i've never heard of that this project will recieve support, not that it's a Kickstarter for a long-beloved video game franchise that has left it's mark on the video game industry and culture.

This is true, and I guess it would be too much to ask to get the rights for such a campaign. Ah well.
