There's only 2 bad things about Suikoden Tierkreis:
1. It's not related to the other Suikoden's
2. VA done by people on crack.

never really played Suikoden Tierkreis much it was fun but i got bored after a little while.

I'm playing SoD now and its great so far.

Pros of suikoden tierkreis:
nice graphics.
good gameplay.
and a few minor things that stand out (e.g. cool looking monsters ect.)

Cons:

SoD Pros:
fun and enjoyable (I personally haven't gotten bored of it)
cool fighting system (still looks like any other RPG)
decent amounts of monney and exp given after battles (doesn't take forever to level)

SoD cons:
None really except characters talk way too much and sometimes it voiced-over making it slow.

imo SoD wins but others would disagree.

Here is my comparison of the two games:

Suikoden Tierkreis:

Pros{Familiar classic RPG gameplay, Great graphics, Lots of Voice Acting, 108 unique characters to use in your party!}

Cons{Voice acting is about on par with SoD(without the gaps) and the main character speaks too quickly, Unrelated to other games in the series, It's a bit on the easy side}

Overall Rating: B+
----------

Sands of Destruction:

Pros{Beautiful 3D backgrounds, Unique battle system, Original storyline, Lots of Voice Acting}

Cons{Most of the VO is terrible and there are large gaps between sentences, You cannot turn the camcera while moving, While the backgrounds look great the sprites do not}

Overall Rating: A-
----------

Both games can be quite enjoyable if you can get over these problems(I personally prefer SoD).

just because its been awhile since ive gotten into a RPG game.
i guess its because chrono trigger really is just the best to me.
it holds a special place in my heart.

that was one of the things i liked about suikoden.
i never got to the point where i had more than 4 people i think.

but im sure that i will be going back to suikoden when im finished with SoD
unless glory of heracles comes out by the time that happens
cuz ill jump all over that!
haha

For me SoD. The battle system is different to other rpgs out there. Suikoden however has a traditional battle system which iv got a bit bored of.

I liked both games, but i would have to go with SoD because like a few said before me,
the battle system is very unique (sorta like Super Robot Taisen [Correct me if im mistaken] though
i never like SRT)

Suikoden Tierkreis, since i've never played the other one.

But it still grinds my shit that HE TALKS LIKE HE'S TRYING TO WIN A 'WHO TALKS THE FASTEST' CONTEST!!! D:
I hate that. And the voice acting's not too good either.

I preferred Suikoden, if only because having beaten both now, SoD lasted about two days, Tierkreis, crap i can't even remember how long that game took me to beat. Long. The combat in SoD is more interesting, but the sheer number of characters, higher number of side-quests, and more in-depth storyline that make Suikoden longer made it the better game in my book.

The voice acting was pretty freaking terrible, though, I'll admit.

i see SoD really got me back into RPGS
i stopped playing them just because they couldnt keep my attention(piracy syndrome)
but lately ive been in this whole finishing what i started kick.
im playing SoD off and on im only 4 hours in but its great.
after i think imma play dragon quest V:hand of the heavenly bride
well i mean after glory of heracles.

Suikoden if you want :
- Decent hours in playing
- Like good old traditional turn based battle
- 3D character with mostly 2D background except in battle
- Like to be careful/take your time in playing. You can get bad ending if you do things wrong
- Like to collect things, characters in this case

SoD if you want :
- Short game
- Fun battle system even though it's unbalanced
- Sprite with 3D background game except in battle
- Don't really care with storyline

Both are :
- Have random battle, with insane rate in some area
- Easy especially SoD
- VA is meh, especially Suikoden
- Enjoyable, both are great rpg for this system

i say sands of destuction.
i thought that SoD's voice acting was better (i use dubbed)
cuz in suikoden, the main character guy talks so damn fast!!

and i also like SoD's battle better..

I've only played Suikoden maybe a quarter of the way through but I got sick of it because it was just way too freaking easy. I wish someone could make a difficulty hack for it, seriously.

thats probably how much of suikoden ive played.
although i did use the no random battles cheat.
which made it remarkably easier.
