Hey there,

I thought it would be nice to have a homebrew, that plays MP4 files (video player for different codecs). I know, there is a Application in the japanese eshop, but I don't know, if it only plays online videos and I don't have an JP account either :D.

Maybe there is something out there already :)

Just a stab in the dark, but I take it you can't load direct links to MP4s in Switch's web browser like you could on the Wii U?

Maybe the only way you could do it is to convert the videos to compatible format in Nintendo Switch. You can watch the videos embedded in the Nintendo Eshop from the browser and see what type of encoding it has, then it would only be done through a Homebrew or server reuse that internal encoder and play your own converted videos for Nintendo Switch.

I'm waiting until the battery issue is resolved before doing any Linux crap. Had to unplug and plug the battery to re-calibrate, it was driving me nuts...
I think that will go beyond the issue of producing your own videos on Horizon.

All I know is that multiple homebrew I tried on my v5.0.2 console had working audio, and Lakka had working audio when playing Ratchet & Clank in the PPSSPP core.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
