I don't know if this is already common knowledge out there, but voice chat works with Fortnite on nintendo switch when in handheld mode by simply plugging your headset into the headphone jack. Also wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this little bit of news. It will also work in docked mode if you have a long enough cord lol

i bet its because the switch is so weak, nintendo has problems to make games with resources left to a simple communications system ;O;

that doesn't make sense tho, iv been hearing the (Switch needs more ram/resources for built in voice chat) thing for a while.
but fortnite seems to use more resources than splatoon & it has built in voice chat.
while splatoon needs the app, if it was just about resources wouldn't it be the other way around? with splat having built in while fortnite having to use the app?

im thinking its just something that wasn't in the sdk yet. that was added later.
devs wil have option to use built in voice chat or switch online app for voice chat.
