Apparently I was working off of old data. The loader sysmodule is actually fine it's the nx-hbloader that needs to be fixed.

If your need a tester, I could test for you because I updated my switch to the latest firmware. I don't know if your console is up to date.

The only homebrew launcher that works on 5.1 is the one SciresM uses in his CFW, Atmosphere. The public launcher that the community has been using has been patched out in the latest firmware. Either the devs need to patch the homebrew menu for 5.1 or someone would need to compile SciresM's homebrew launcher and distribute it.

It's actually the loader.kip1 sysmodule that needs to be updated. I've tried compiling the latest loader sysmodule from Atmosphere, however my switch won't start with the latest. SwitchBlade already comes with the latest nx-hbloader and nx-hbmenu. (Actually a slightly modified version of nx-hbmenu with touch controls. I have a pull request in to merge my changes.)

Who built the Homebrew Launcher that is currently being passed around? Do they intend to fix the issue for 5.1.0 users? I know SciresM is the dev for the Homebrew Launcher but he said his version (Which isn't publicly available) works fine on 5.1.0

Version 2.0.5 was just released:

• Updated Homebrew Menu. (You can now swipe up to go back a folder, and swipe down to go into netloader.)
• Pulled down the latest upstream from Naehrwert.

Ok so I’m on 3.0.0 and I haven’t run HB since before the stupid nag. That being said you know how I ran HB. Before I ran switch blade I put the SD folder contents to the root of my fat32 128GB overwriting the old HBC launcher on the root of my card. When trying to open emus I get an error or it “freezes” I can still press the home button and try again. I’ll show what I’m trying and then the outcome. Please help! And what happened to the emoji of the guy hitting his head against the brick wall cuz I need that rn.

Not sure if SciresM is respecting that by not releasing his fix. This is pure speculation.

There's no speculation on the licenses. SciresM never released the binary and he's not obligated to do so. If he does, then he has to also release the working source code that gets you the same binary.
