I'm looking to do a system transfer from my old Switch (hackable) to my new Switch (unhackable).
My source Switch is on 6.1, my new Switch is on whatever the Pokemon bundle comes with. What I would like to do is this:
1.System transfer from my old Switch to new Switch
2. Set up my new Switch to be my legit, online console
3. Do a system format of my old Switch to remove any connection to my account information
4. Hack my old Switch
The problem is, when doing a system transfer, you must connect to the internet and update before it lets you progress. I obviously don't want to update to 6.2, because I won't be able to hack the system, then. My question is: can I do a system transfer without doing an update? Is there a way I can block a connection to the update servers so I'm not prompted to update when doing the transfer?
Or, should I update to 6.2, do the system transfer, and then wait until 6.2 is hackable? I've been out of the loop, so I'm not sure how long something like that will take.
Thanks!
