Tempmas Christmas Raffle 2021

Another year is coming to a close, and if you've been here long enough, you'll know that every December, GBAtemp hosts a very merry event. That's right, Tempmas is here! Rejoice one and all, for the festivities are about to begin. Today, we're announcing the Tempmas 2021 Raffle, where our jolly Admins will be giving out some amazing gifts to lucky GBAtemp users that are on the nice list! Five lovely prizes will be raffled out:

  • Prize #5, #4, #3: A Nintendo Switch game of your choice!​
  • Prize #2: A Nintendo Switch Lite!​
  • Prize #1: A Nintendo Switch OLED!!​
How exciting! That's right, our Switch-centric giveaway has the grand prize of the new shiny Nintendo Switch OLED Edition! Be sure to keep your eye out for the raffle entry thread which will take place on Dec 25th, and Merry Tempmas, to all of our amazing community!

Just curious do you know which style oled it is,when the raffle starts I think I won’t care for it, if it’s that white looking one. I’m not even sure if you have it already. Maybe it will be winner’s choice on style.

Not sure about this year’s rules, but in previous years we had a contingency option of simply choosing a value-equivalent title on a different platform since, obviously, we want our users to enjoy the gifts they receive. I’m sure this year the Temp Elf will have similar options, should the need arise. :)

Been playing PlayStation that I'd forgot Switch was still a thing. The OLED gets a lot of criticism, but it's a nice upgrade.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
