Thats not the problem its not a US console and you can't use the faceplates on a New 3DS XL.

I hope they sell this face plate separately. I imported a French N3DS just so I wouldn't miss out on this exact sort of nonsense.

Yeah, US fans got the short end of the stick and Nintendo only released the XL version.

As I intend on buying it I'd like to hack it to play backups than swap carts.
