ehh...perhaps there is a baseline for some experiences to actually be fun though. you may hear people talking about fun games you have to try from as far back as the nes but when is the last time you heard someone unironically call an atari 2600 game a must play
not saying there is no fun to be had there but it certainly shows that it was one of the early home consoles
