It's a little disappointing that this isn't like the previous installments to the Parasite Eve series in the fact that it strays from the survival horror aspect that the series was famous for. I suppose that's why this game sheds the name though.

I'm still eager to play this though.

Parasite Eve was never a survival horror series. More like a one person Final Fantasy game with a creepy-ish setting.
This one is like a shooter with RPG elements.

I know Wikipedia isn't the most fantastic source ever created, but I've found that it's video game information is very on par. If you check the genre for Parasite Eve it says role playing/survival horror. Although it isn't as creepy by today's standards (like playing the original Resident Evil on the PSX), it was at least for its time. Most, if not all places, classify the series as a survival horror series too (after a quick Google anyways).

The 3rd Birthday, although they still try to classify it as survival horror, I think it's just for nostalgia purposes at this point.

Mindfuck incoming (plus ending spoilers).
So, Aya was actually Eve and Aya was dead this whole time?

And at the end, with Kyle and Eve when they was about to get married, where did all that happen? WAS IT ALL IN HER MIND?

I still don't get what Time Zero is.
Time to replay and figure this whole thing out.

Well, it's very difficult to understand, but from what I've seen in the jp cutscenes,
You're in the future after you Oversoul'd into Aya's body, and with that machine you go back to the past to try and fix it, but in the end, all you do is switch bodies with Aya instead of trying to mindcontrol her with your powers, but you have to kill her or else what happened previously when you Oversoul'd into her will repeat, which I'm assuming is the whole alien invasion. You also have amnesia for an unknown reason, but I can't guess why. I also have no idea why the bosses where actually your friends, and why you had to kill them. How did Aya get support in the past too?
I really need to clear some space on my memory stick and beat this game in English.

I'm still on the first chapter (I don't have a lot of freetime to play).
I find the game a little hard, but that's a good thing, it's challenging.

I'm happy that it's not a Survival Horror like PE2, I didn't like the 2

This one goes back to RPG elements, level and status upgrade.

If people are looking for this info : I'm playing it without any problem on 5.00 M33-6, with the m33_6.20 plugin installed and firmware spoofed to 6.20.
