both the DS lite and DSi/XL got dual IPS displays
Hmm, I might have remembered incorrectly. Just checked, found a DSi with a TN display but a DSi XL with an IPS display. Or at least, the XL doesn't seem to lose colour when viewing the top screen from extreme angles. Will update the article accordingly.I'm 100% certain this is false, do you have any source for this?

Just remembered something - The original DS Phat used frontlit displays that had washed out colours and poor contrast while the DS lite and DSi used dual backlit displays. I must've mistaken the difference in image quality being due to IPS rather than the lighting method. My bad.Interesting, that has to be an IPS screen. Thanks.

Don't worry. I haven't come across a single small N3DS with IPS.Me too... N3DS sadly enough
Kay then it's good. First I wanted to buy N3DS XL, but those were sold out.Don't worry. I haven't come across a single small N3DS with IPS.
