Is there a version that uses IOS 250? Since anything after rev 17 is broken it could be useful to have rev 17 as 250.

I posted this somewhere but i cant remember where so here you go

Triiforce MRC v10b (250)

QUOTE(Liberty @ Aug 30 2010, 12:14 PM)
cIOSx20 should not be working with Triiforce anyway :wtf:?

Can I use this, put it in my apps/triiforce folder?

If I install rev17 into slot 250, it should work?

Maybe triiforce worked at first with 20b because I actually had the games installed on my real nand. When it originally loaded up the game, I thought it was working, so deleted the games off the real nand. I bet that is what happened.

So, the new plan is to install rev17 into slot 250, and use this new .dol to load triiforce from slot 250.

Let me know if you think that will work.

Edit: Doesnt work. Comes up with Error I cant get installed titles... darn. I sure hope r21 fixes this. Would love to have this program working.

Hello eveybody, I love Triiforce mrc but I'm still using triiforce sometime and I have a problem:

TriiforceMRC works very well, but with triiforce (v80) I have a code dump when nand is close to be charged.

I have the cios 249rev17 and my NAND is on usb and works fine with SNEEK.

Is there someone who can explain the difference between Triiforce and the MRC version for loading games?
thanks a lot

Okay, I finally got it working on IOS250. First I had to find a copy of cios250-v17.wad, and then I had to do some patching to the source.

The big problem turned out to be that the cios250-v17 wad for some reason installs itself as revision 65535, rather than revision 17.
On line 60 of nand.c there is a compatibility change for CIOSX rev20 and above. It evaluates 65535>20 and uses the new input buffer method (which does not work)

Triiforce_MRC with IOS250 full patch

All versions of waninkoko's CIOS installer seem to overwrite IOS250 and identify as 65535, so if you update your CIOS and it stops working reinstall the cios250-v17 wad

Alternatively you can use ModMii to get a cios rev17b wad for any slot, and edit lines 1901, 1902, and 1919 of triiforce_mrc main.c to reflect the new ios number

Hi marc,

the auto cover downloading isn't working for me.

Funny thing is, i thought it was working before, but then i needed to wipe my hdd clean. After reinstalling the triiforce (AUTO_USB version), the downloading of images wasn't working anymore. Either the wii freezes (like some guys here already reported) or it says "I can't connect" with errno -116 and then crashes sometimes with a dsi exception and this stack dump:

80e39934 -> 80e42bd4 -> 80e3944 -> 80e0117ec

Then i tried different solutions and finally got it working again, but only with normal dol file. (not AUTO_USB).

Here are my observations:

1) Using triiforce_mrc_v10b.dol, choosing USB Nand and then downloading Images works. But... It prints out this message: "Initializing FAT (SD)", before downloading. I'm not using SD Card at all, only USB and i manually choosed USB Nand, so i find it strange to print out SD there. In this case the image downloading works anyways.

2) Using triiforce_mrc_v10b_AUTO_USB.dol, USB Nand gets started automatically like it should. This time it prints out "Initializing FAT (USB)", but freezes when initializing network connection.

Maybe the 2 dols are initializing something differently and that's why image downloading isn't working in AUTO_USB version?

I hope you can look into this, it's not big deal, i got workaround with using normal dol, but it would be great if it worked with auto_usb dol too.

Thanks for your work

I'm not working on Triiforce mrc anymore. Mighty Channels will be available in the next weeks/months, I'll try to fix bugs there.

Thank you for the advice

Wow, Mighty sounds cool.

So many questions come to mind...
Can the first post be updated to reflect that Triforce_MRC is discontinued in favor of this project?
Is there a google code page or another site that we can monitor progress?
(I'd be eager to test this out, need any testers?)
Says it uses WBFS, is this the WBFS file system or .WBFS files?
Does this still use NAND emulation from cIOS or use a diff. method?
(still waiting for rev21 in hopes for NandEmu to work right again)

Keep up the great work!

Acording to the thread he has put the whole project on hold, unfortunately.

Is Triiforce mrc the right way to go if I want to play WiiWare games not in real NAND, or is USNEEK the way to go? USNEEK seems to be a bit overkill, but its topic seems to be active and it success rate seems good.

That's the impression Im getting too. Guess I'll give triiforce a go first, I don't really have any need what so ever from running my whole wii of a virtual nand. And when you need to swith back to real nand to run USB loaders, it seems even more of a hassle.

Anyone else has a newer v20 cIOS installed that doesn't run MRCv10? E.g. it fails to find the USB drive.

I installed an modded v14 cIOS into slot 199, modified the source so that it reloads IOS 199 instead of 249 (2 lines of code in main.c) and got it working nicely.

If anyone needs the .dol files, shout out. I'll probably upload them anyway.

Unfortunately, nand emulation is broken in Waninkoko's rev20. As such, it doesn't work for anyone. For triiforce, rev14 or 17 is the only way to get it to work (when emulating, that is).

I see the added value of what you're trying to do (freeing up the 249 slot for more recent cIOS'es). But is there any reason why you go for rev14 instead of 17?

Didn't find v17 for slot 199 and since v14 works fine, I didn't bother modifying it myself (which probably would have been a lot harder then this simple 2 line change...)

Slot 199 Triiforce MRC (included are manual select, auto usb, auto sd).

For the cIOS, google for "cios 199".

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
