Hardware Trinity USB addon

So I'm installing a USB addon QSB in my Trinity. The goal is to have a second HDD mounted as internal MU (I've removed the disc drive).

My main concern is how to get power to the drive, as there's only one USB slot..?
Do I need to run an extra cable to an outside port?

I don't know if the dvd drive might provide enough power. some people use it for a second fan (at least with phats), since I think it provides more power than the actual fan power connector. 5V, I think.

That could work, with some modification of the DVD drive power cord. Since it's removed, i should be able to use the connector and convert one end of the cable to USB.
