ROM Hack [Tutorial] How to Decrypt, Extract & Rebuild 3DS|CIA|CXI Files

Ok now that i have setup instaled this is what i did is went to the hacking tool enterd D what is suposed to happen now becuse for me...nothing

Are you following the prompts man? I'm not trying to be rude or anything but you don't seem to be well versed in computers at all.....

After typing 'D" to extract a .3DS file, you have to hit enter. Then read the message that pops up and do what it says. I really don't want to come off as rude or anything because I don't know if you're disabled, ignorant or just an idiot so I won't judge you. However, I would advise you to ask someone to help you if it never occurred to you to hit "enter".....

What i want is the romfs for mario 3d land if you could give me a run down on what to do OR EVEN BETTER leave a download link to a place where i can download the sm3dl romfs that would be great. Thanks!

Make sure you decrypt your rom with either decrypt9 or godmode9 ^~^ first before using it with any of those options.

◘ Decrypt it using Decrypt9 -> Game Decryptor Options -> CIA Decryptor (Deep) OR GodMode9 -> (A) on CIA -> CIA image options... -> Decrypt file (...) -> Decrypt inplace.

This is outdated. The HackingToolKit9DS V 11 only uses encrypted ROMs/CIA along with the dumped boot9 to "work its magic".
Decrypted one's won't work with this version.

We can't give you a link to copyrighted files my friend, sorry.

If you're using HackingToolKit v11, then you need to dump your private bootrom (boot9.bin) from your console using Boot9Strap.
Then take your boot9 file and place it in the same directory as pack hack.
Then type "D", hit enter, the name of your file (no extensions) and hit enter again.
Wait.
Profit?

just read the 1st post, use the 3ds tool kit to extract the cia's contents.

Use a .3DS rom as base instead cia (for now).
Extract it, replace files, rebuild. Then convert the rebuilt .3DS to .CIA using 3dsconv.
I'm a bit tired to repeat it...

Alright, so I think I have a handle of most of this, as I can extract/unpack the cias just fine, but how do I get to (edit) the code.bin in the DecryptedexeFS.bin? I tried the "FS2" option to "extract contents of DecryptedexeFS.bin", but no new files show up when I do so. It says extraction is done, but nothing happens other than a new (empty) folder appearing. Thanks for the help.

Not sure to understand what you want to do with the code.bin file?
