Been a long good while since I've made a post on GBATemp publicly, but I just wanted to stop by and express the same thanks many others have in this thread! I absolutely despised how blurry the DS games look on the 3DS because of the filtering Nintendo used. It was enough to the point where I'd usually use another DS model to play the games I wanted to play despite how nice the form factor is of the 3DS and how flash carts/TWiLight Menu++ made the 3DS a really convenient 'all-in-one' system. It was the homebrew I was wishing would happen for ages. Great to see it's a reality now, and all the options are really appreciated!

Tested the patcher myself and went with Sharpen Test 1. Super Mario 64 DS already looks so much more crisp.

There is a 3dsx, but I don't think it would work. I always had issues with 3dsx, and I don't want anyone to brick because of it.

CTR_Redshift will be included in the next version of the patcher, which is expected to come out in 1-3 weeks.

Fantastic! Excellent work! There are so many great DS romhacks I've been missing out on because I can't handle the blue light eye burn. But technically you will need to call this one TWL_Redshift, no?

It's a blue light filter.
Blue light can hurt some people's eyes, which is why that's a thing.

No, because it runs on the ARM11 The DS hardware doesn't know anything about this.

Why not...

But no, it's to filter out some blue lights for those whose eyes are irritated by it, or to prevent the prevention of melatonin generation due to the brain still thinking that it's not past 17h yet.

@Raylight It definitely works on New 3DS, it's just specifically not working for you for some reason. Can you check that the TwlBg.cxi is being written out to sdmc:/luma/sysmodules?

im running CTR nand luma so nothing on the SD... wait yes there is twlbg on the sd my mistake

That explains why it's not working for you.
Try putting "boot.firm" on the SD root.

The patcher doesn't account for CTR NAND.
One way to check if Luma is running from CTR NAND, is to see if "boot.firm" doesn't exist on the SD card.
