If you thought you might see the release of Beyond Good & Evil 2 anytime soon, then don't get your hopes up. Ubisoft's latest earnings call shows that we won't see the game completed until at minimum the next fiscal year. Five AAA games will be released by the company in the coming fiscal year, which kicks off in April, consisting of Gods & Monsters, Rainbox Six Quarantine, Watch Dogs: Legion and two unannounced titles. CEO Yves Guillemot stated that Beyond Good & Evil 2 won't be part of the lineup released this year, while the pirate game Skull & Bones has been confirmed for release in the fiscal year of 2021-2022.

In that same fiscal report, Ubisoft's performance this quarter was considerably underwhelming, due to the critical reception of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint and the massive delays Ubisoft initiated for their games, in order to release better quality titles. The company brought in $456.86 million dollars in the previous three-month quarter, which was down by 26% from last year. Guillemot is confident that despite the tough climate of 2020 AAA games releasing this year, Ubisoft's lineup in 2020 will stand out.

Absolutely not a surprise. I feel like it will end up like Duke Nukem Forever tho. A game that will disappoint a lot of people for being just "alright". Just do a new Rayman game already, I don't even care if it's 2D or 3D at this point

I hear you but I will play metroid 4 even if it takes another 4 years lol - but I think the devs and publishers should all get together and agree something like a 6 month gap first reveal to release date - gamers would be mor excited the shorter they kno a game is coming

triple A used to mean quality. now it means buggy launches, 10 dlc packs, and microtransactions galore. it's like mobile games on consoles.

well metroid prime 4 is diferent, nintendo gave it to bandai namco to do, and after like 1 year they didnt like what bandai showed them, they completely scrapped that and even cancelled the entire deal with them for metroid prime 4, and only after all that is that they gave the project to retro studios, which will start from zero once more.

we will probably never see what bandai showed nintendo, we only know they disliked it so much that they canceled their entire deal with them for metroid prime 4.

I've played alot of there games, used to be some good franchises. The company had real promise.

Now each game is a resin, not just the sequels, each / franchise is just a copy / paste.
