Hacking Updating A9LH without OTP.bin? (have compiled arm9loaderhax.bin)

So, I'm trying to update the hack on my old 3DS since it's currently running a very early version of Aureinand however I don't have the OTP anymore, only the compiled file. Is this all I need? Additionally, I want to format the system nand (currently on 9.2) and then update it to 11.0 - is doing a format okay using a9lh?

arm9loaderhax.bin is just what A9LH boots to, it's not what you had to compile to install it in the first place (that was a .3dsx). To update to the latest version of your CFW (Luma3DS, which is the new name for AuReiNand) you mainly just have to replace your current arm9loaderhax.bin with the new one ( https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases ). There may be additional steps to upgrade, so read the Wiki on upgrading it: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/Installation-and-Upgrade

Unless you really know what you are doing, there is very little reason to fuck with A9LH itself. As an aside, how do you not have backups of your OTP all over the place? It's 256 bytes. You could literally write it on a piece of paper.

And format sysnand isnt a problem iirc (maybe wait for a second answer)
And dont forget to use the latest version of the cfw you use.

E: to add to the user above me, its the latest commit of Luma3DS you will need, http://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/
Because of friends module in sys 11.0, blablabla magic power, last official release of Luma3DS isnt fixed

Kinda threw caution into the wind and realized yeah, the a9lh is just a loader file - updated the Luma version and updated sysnand and did a format, no problem
