Hacking Updating Luma and 3DS?

Posting this question in it's own thread so more people can see it since I haven't gotten an answer yet, Do I just use the star app on the home page then the system setting? (I assume as long as it still says "Sys 11.x.x" Luma is still working? Or does the star app thing do everything? I also hear the star app thing is outdated?

Using A9lh and Luma is currently v5.5 and currently on "Sys 11.0.0-33E". Old3ds if that's needed for anything

To word it more simply, How do I update both Luma3DS and my firmware to latest versions. Do I have to update anything else like A9lh or something?

    But any desktop OS, I've never had anything but frustration trying to get Bluetooth devices to work reliably and stable. It might pair and connect once, and then next time I go to use it I have to delete and re-pair it again

    Even my Xbox One controller I have it paired to my desktop over Bluetooth, it USUALLY works but sometimes it refuses to connect and I have to delete and re-pair it. Maddening

    Not recently but I think it's less a driver issue and more just Windows having a garbage Bluetooth stack
