Update LumaUpdater to 2.5
Update Luma3DS to 10.0.1 (If you are on Luma3DS 9,0, you are already using B9S)
Update Homebrew Launcher to 2.1
Update GodMode9 to 1.9.1
Update to the latest 3DS firmware via the normal method

Do you really not know how to install cia's or put 3dsx files on the sd card? There is information all over here about installing/upgrading these things. Did you search or try looking at ?

The last first I upgraded the firmware I didn't have to do anythinig exept updating Luma and the Firmware I think. I know the 3ds.hacks.guide and I know how to copy .3ds or .cia files on my SD card - I think for executing these files I need the FBI tool which I already installed.

So all I need to know is exactly what do to, to upgrade from 11.6.0-39E to latest FW without losing my current settings, games, etc.

When I look at 3ds.hacks.guide this is the information I get:
11.4.0 11.11.0 Update to latest firmware or use an "All Versions" Method

What should I do now? Or is all I have to do written down here: 3ds.hacks.guide/updating-b9s --> I saw an information in this forum that when I have Luma => V9 I already have Boot9strap?

Sorry when I'm annoying, just won't to lose my homebrew settings... Thank you all for helping

Hey and thank you for your guide,
do i need to do following steps at finalizing-setup with the whole files to download or can I skip it because I already homebrewed my DS or can I go directly to Section VI (Schritt VI?)?

As far as I know, if you do not have the latest boot9strap on your 3DS, it's better to follow the steps from the top. For example, if you update, you will already have the luma/payloads/ folder with GodMode9.firm in there. However, it might be an outdated version. Get the latest versions for your files from the internet, and replace the old ones.

I believe this would be my order, but I'd love to have the more experienced users correct me if I'm wrong.
- update/overwrite boot.3dsx (from Luma3DS) on the root of your SD
- update/overwrite GodMode9.firm (from GodMode9) in the luma/payloads/ folder
- update/overwrite SafeB9Sinstaller.firm (from SafeB9Sinstaller) in the luma/payloads/ folder
- update/overwrite boot9strap.firm and boot9strap.firm.sha (from boot9strap) in boot9strap folder on the root of your SD card

Insert your SD back into the 3DS. Hold the Start-button while booting up, go to SafeB9Sinstaller, and start this process with the key combination input to update Boot9strap.

After finishing you will probably reset and get an error screen. That is because Luma might be outdated.

1) If the Luma is outdated and the 3DS will not power up properly, power off the 3DS and put the SD card back in your computer. Update/overwrite boot.firm (from Luma3DS) on the root of your SD card. When powering on, this could bring you into your Luma configuration screen where the 3DS Hack Guide would tell you to only check the 'Show NAND or user string in System Settings' option. Press the Start-button to save and reboot.

2) If Luma works fine, then I suppose the 3DS will just boot properly. You could click on the Luma icon and see if you need to update your LumaUpdater, which I have written about here (hopefully without errors... I'm still learning a lot of this).

Keep in mind that I installed CFW recently so I have not had to update anything--I'm piecing all of this together from other people's accounts on these forums and elsewhere on the net.

Good luck with updating.

EDIT: Hmm, looking at the second post of this thread, maybe my order is wrong...
