Sorry for your loss. Quick question: external USB drive with one cable connection (not a Y-cable?). What is the model of the drive? <- that's just for the information, because we're having a lively discussion nearly about the same problem in a different topic.

Solution would be likely to connect to the PC and trying to use some recovery software to restore lost data... It will take A LOT of time to extract the data from the hard drive. I would try, but something makes me think the data is lost...

UPD: if doing recovery, you need to have free space on your PC of the size of the hard drive you're trying to recover.

thanks for the quick reply, it was me making a folder called games from aurora file manager? or the hdd got corrupted?
I don´t think a recovery software will do something since hdd is almost free...

my hdd is a wd passport with 1 sata cable (not Y)

I don't think that it's forbidden to create folders :). Something gone wrong during disk access operation. How "old" is the disk?
Are you sure the cable is SATA? Maybe USB? If you don't mind, could you please tell the exact model?

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
