Using Altane with RPI

I have been wanting to build a GBA cartridge reading RPI system for a while now, and i recently found a device called Altane. It can read/write roms/savedata with cartridges. I am wondering if it would be possible to use it in conjunction with RetroPi.

nice, there is more GB cart readers than i did knew

might be usefull for ya search. the guy is very cool
i had bought his standalone version (gbx card rw) works trough serial port emulation in usb (IIRC) it has software for windows and linux

there are also joes bags things but when i was interested in his flashcart i never got an answer so...
